StarshipStarship "Mister Hansen." The voice jerked Lieutenant Andrew Hansen out of his daydream and back to the full rank captain standing at the head of the table. His face turned a slight shade of pink when he noticed every eye in the command room was watching him. "Yes, sir." Lt Hansen responded. "Now that we are all paying attention again, Lieutenants Hansen and Cormick will act as a detached squadron. Admiral Gapper always deploys his long range cruisers independantly and has always seemed to be able to get them in a position that wreaks havoc on our lines. He stepped into his blue jumpsuit and jerked it up around his shoulders as he weaved between the bunks to the door and bolted into the hall. Toby woke with a pounding headache. With a ringing in his ears he cracked open an eye and looked around. He was lying in a bed, and judging by the beeping equipment next to it and the vague antiseptic smell, it was in some sort of hospital room. Apart from the bed he was lying in the room contained two other unoccupied beds and several computer displays, presumably used for displaying patients records and medical scans although they were all off at the moment. A clock mounted on the wall opposite the bed indicated that he had been unconscious for over two hour
